    Mental Health and Wellbeing Officer - TTO

    We are looking for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Officer to join our Additional Learning Support Team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time (term time only), permanent role offering a salary of £26,844 to £32,035 (pro rata) per annum.

    Job Purpose:

    To provide mental health & well-being support services within the Additional Learning Support Department. 

    To work with and support CLA in order to improve their attendance, participation and achievement.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Level 4 Qualification/professional training in an area of professional practice. Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or equivalent health/social care/counselling qualification 
    • Previous experience of supporting young people with mental health issues 
    • Experience of dealing with complex situations including crises 
    • Knowledge of mental health issues and awareness of the signs of mental illness to facilitate appropriate referrals 
    • Ability to motivate and inspire others to develop their skills 
    • Ability to communicate with a wide range of support practitioners as part of a wider multi agency/disciplinary team 

    The successful candidate will be in post for the 25/26 academic year
