Facilities Officer (Multi-skilled)

We are looking for a Facilities Officer (Multi-skilled) to join our team. This is a 28 hours per week, part-time, permanent role offering a salary of £25,654 to £26,422 pro rata (pro rata) per annum.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

• Repair, renew and alter building fabric including applying standard wall coverings and paint materials, by brush and roller to walls, ceilings and woodwork as required.
• Carry out repairs to furnishing and fittings throughout the College premises as required.
  • General routine maintenance as requested by the Facilities Manager.

• Carry out security procedures for college buildings and grounds including checking and securing windows and doors both internally and externally.
• Carry out recognised procedures in the event of fire, flood, breaking and entering, accident, damage or bomb alert.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Hold a Level 2 trade qualification and/or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in building and maintenance; painting, plumbing, joinery or similar
• Hold a full UK or equivalent clean driving licence (Cat B, cars and light vans) to support transport and driving requirements of the College.
• Hold First Aid Certificate or be prepared to obtain within 6 months of appointment and keep renewed as required.
• Demonstrates good literacy, grammar skills in order to deliver specifics of role
• Demonstrate good mathematics/numeracy skills in order to deliver specifics of the role.
