    We are looking for a Cleaner to join our team. This is a 9.46 hours per week, part-time, permanent role offering a salary of £6669 per annum.

    Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

    • Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of any college area (which will include toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate, powered equipment.  This may also include external entrance and localised pathways in relation to general sweep, and limited litter pick.
    • As part of the job outline, cleaners will be required to report any obvious defects such as blocked toilets, broken fixtures and fittings, etc, to the team leader during the completion of his/her normal duties.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Be committed to work towards BICSc Cleaning Operatives Foundation Certificate or NVQ 1 Level 1 in Cleaning Operations within 6 months of appointment.
    • Awareness of general cleaning methods and techniques.
    • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, safe use of materials and equipment.
    • Understanding of requirements in dealing with staff and public.
    • Ability to communicate clearly, with good interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage time and work to schedules.
