Senior Purchasing Officer
We are looking for a Senior Purchasing Officer to join our team. This is a 28 hours per week, part-time, permanent role offering a salary of £23,692 (pro rata) per annum.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
To work as a member of the College’s Finance team providing an outstanding service at all times. Helping to support the processing of finance documents and maintaining the College’s purchase and general ledgers in a timely and accurate manner.
• To document and maintain financial procedures for the areas allocated. To ensure that such procedures are followed and the finance system is maintained to a high degree of accuracy.
• To play a proactive role in ensuring that the College’s Financial Regulations / Standing Orders are adhered to at all times. Monitor and promptly report on financial transactions outside of the agreed procedures and/or breaches of Financial Regulations to the College Accountant.
• To maintain and promote an efficient and effective purchasing policy and system responsive to the needs of managers and staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
• English/literacy qualification at level 2 or above
• Maths/numeracy qualification at level 2 or above
• Demonstrate knowledge of Purchase Ledger requirements
• Significant experience in a Purchase Ledger role
• Significant experience in ensuring compliance with finance policies
