Bank Staff – Lecturer in Illustration and Animation

Wirral Met College are currently looking for Lecturer’s in Illustration and Animation to support our art department on an ad hoc basis.

Bank staff are paid at an hourly rate.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:

• To carry out formal scheduled teaching, tutorials and assessments. To include the preparation of learning materials, students’ assignments and to support students in their studies both during scheduled teaching sessions and during periods of self-directed study.
• Marking of students’ work and examinations, internal moderation and verification, as part of the team.
• To work alongside colleagues in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programme.
• Develop evening, community and adult provision.
• To manage and maintain appropriate College records and quality systems to ensure high performance.

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification in subject discipline – Animation/Illustration
• Full recognised teaching qualification
• Level 2 or above literacy/English qualification
• Level 2 or above mathematics/numeracy qualification
• Successful teaching experience of post 16 learners
• Experience of teaching illustration and animation
• Experience of organising, curating and building exhibition space
