IT Technician
We are looking for an IT Technician to join our team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £25,654 to £26,422 per annum.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
- To act as a member of a team covering WMC main sites to support and maintain the IT infrastructure including college phone systems.
- To take the lead for outreach support covering IT support particularly at the remote sites.
- To provide support to staff in the configuration of mobile technologies (i.e. iPads, iPods, Android devices and other electronic tablets)
- To ensure high consistency across all sites, and to contribute to the team SAR.
- To monitor the IT call logger, take jobs in a timely manner and work to completion as efficiently as possible
- To use Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager to support the requirements of network users
- To provide technical support for the appropriate teaching areas, including the provision of specialist IT and Audio Visual Communications resources for demonstrations and curriculum requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- GCSE/Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, with relevant Microsoft hardware support qualifications (MCDST, MCP or equivalent) or being prepared to work to such a qualification.
- Have worked in a team environment, but capable of working individually and taking sole responsibility for projects.
- Be familiar with the operation and maintenance of a modern personal computer system.
- Have knowledge and preferably experience of software management systems.
- Have a knowledge of stock control and booking procedures.
- Have experience working with various software applications.
