We are looking for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Officer to join our Additional Learning Support Team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time (term time only), permanent role offering a salary of £26,844 to £32,035 (pro rata) per annum.

Job Purpose:
To provide mental health & well-being support services within the Additional Learning Support Department.
To work with and support CLA in order to improve their attendance, participation and achievement.
Skills and Qualifications:
Level 4 Qualification/professional training in an area of professional practice. Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or equivalent health/social care/counselling qualification
Previous experience of supporting young people with mental health issues
Experience of dealing with complex situations including crises
Knowledge of mental health issues and awareness of the signs of mental illness to facilitate appropriate referrals
Ability to motivate and inspire others to develop their skills
Ability to communicate with a wide range of support practitioners as part of a wider multi agency/disciplinary team
The successful candidate will be in post for the 25/26 academic year
